Well, I’m clearly in the thick of the One Room Challenge because I FORGOT TODAY WAS WEDNESDAY and I’m suppose to share a blog with you! I’m currently writing this on the train and my insta best friend, Ashley Goldman, who is actually my real life BFF agreed to do me the biggest solid and publish this post! She's also participating in the One Room Challenge on her blog! This weekend, I was in Columbus, Ohio visiting two new clients. While I was there, my angel of a father sanded our staircase for us. If you’ve ever sanded your floors, you know how intense this process is. It’s physically demanding and a huge mess; there was sawdust EVERYWHERE. After the big debate on whether to stain or paint

Welcome to week three of the One Room Challenge! I'm surprised my fingers still function well enough to type this post as I've been painting nonstop for what seems like an eternity. Luckily my squad (Mom, Dad + Aunt) have been a tremendous help. To all of you who are taking on the ORC or any renovation project by yourself, my hat goes off to you! WALL COLOR / DOOR COLOR / RUG / KNOBS / BASEBOARD DOOR COLOR / WALLPAPER / CURTAINS / KNOBS Besides the painting marathon, we're 90% finished adding the trim supplied to us by Metrie. The newly added panel molding, door casing, and baseboard have made a drastic difference to the living room and foyer. When selected trim for your house keep in

Last Sunday, Home Love Network aired the first episode of their new One Room Challenge series. My ORC from last fall was episode one! Over the next few weeks, they'll be taking a closer look at five guest participants' completed spaces. The series runs exclusively on Facebook and airs every Sunday evening. You can see the video here, or by clicking on any of the images in this post I had the best time filming with Candis + Andy! The interview was unscripted, and I didn't know any of the questions I'd be asked. They did an incredible job with this video, and I can't wait to see the rest of the ORC tours! I hope you enjoy this more in-depth look at our Library! If you'd like to catch up on

Welcome to week two of the One Room Challenge! My squad (mom, dad, and aunt) and I hit the ground running last Wednesday. This transformation requires a ton of painting. If you've been following me on Instagram stories, the secrets out, I'm painting all TEN doors in the foyer Back Blue by Farrow & Ball. photographed by Douglas Friedman All of the trim in the house is oil paint, so before getting the satisfaction of seeing the doors go from bright white to dark blue, we had to use this nasty primer first. Some people say if you sand the doors, and use a regular primer, they won't peel, but I've tried that once, and it didn't work; I'm not taking any chances this time! In addition to paintin

I'm incredibly excited and honored to be a featured blogger in the Spring 2018 One Room Challenge! Last fall, I participated as a guest in my first ORC and was selected by Sophie Dow, editor and chief of House Beautiful, to be a featured designer in the Spring ORC. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Natasha Habermann, Interior designer, stylist, blogger, and small space guru. Last year, my husband and I moved from our 350 sq/ft east village apartment to North Salem, NY, a rural suburb an hour outside of Manhattan. For this season's ORC, I'll be redoing our living room and connected foyer. The current state of these rooms is very lackluster. We moved into our home in August of 20
