EICHLER BEDROOM REDO

While I was in San Francisco, I worked with my BFF and her husband to update their bedroom. This bedroom is in the incredible Eichler home that I blogged about last week. To say their bedroom was in a sad state of affairs is an understatement. EICHLER HOME TOUR

At the beginning my California trip, I had the pleasure of staying with my BFF and her husband at their incredible home. Their house was built by Joesph Eichler, best known for building mid-century modern subdivisions throughout Califonia between 1946-1966. During this time period, Eichler built over 11,000 homes in Northern and Southern California. Eichler's goal was to bring modern architecture to the general public. Some typical characteristics of Eichlers include post and beam construction, window walls, skylights, and atriums; the intention of these features was to bring the outside in.
